A Six Flags amusem*nt park became less thrilling for a podcast host who paid a shocking amount of money for a single soda.

Josh Felgoise posted a TikTok video on June 22 of his reaction to purchasing a bottle of Diet co*ke at Six Flags.

The Guyset host proved how much he paid for the soda on June 19 by holding up the receipt with the drink charge.

While he showed off the receipt, Felgoise stated that he spent $9.38 on the Diet co*ke at Six Flags.

Several angry TikTokers were not surprised to find out how much the Diet co*ke was worth and one person wrote that the theme park was 'worse than Disney World.'

Felgoise appeared to be surprised at himself for purchasing the nearly $10 soda.

'The cashier and I were both like, 'what?,"' he wrote in the caption.

The TikTok user bought the drink at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Township, New Jersey. The first of over 30 Six Flags opened in Texas back in 1961.

Today, it continues to be successful, but NASDAQ confirmed less than two months ago that the Six Flags corporation was losing revenue despite its hike in visitors.

Some of those visitors commented on Felgoise's TikTok video and they didn't have good things to say about Six Flags' food and drink prices.

'I remember when they were $5 at Six Flags, and that was in 2023,' a TikToker commented.

Another person wrote: 'The last time I went, it was $3.00. That was over 10 years ago. Now I understand why my grandma packed us food and drinks.'

Other users compared the theme parks to Disney World, and one TikToker wrote that they were 'flabbergasted' over food and drinks at Six Flags, being 'higher priced' than the Disney theme park.

TikTok users who commented onFelgoise's video claimed that prices were much cheaper over the years and a Diet co*ke was allegedly $5 at Six Flags in 2023

Theme parks inside the 'Most Magical Place on Earth' were blasted by Reddit users last year due to the increase in Disney World's food and drink prices.

'I know this place costs a fortune to operate, and Disney needs to make a profit to stay in business, but the food and drinks especially seem high lately,' the original poster wrote on the social media platform.

'Looking at menu prices online and seeing things in person higher than what was posted in blogs just a few months ago.'

Food prices at the Florida theme park rose by around 61 percent over the last 10 years, which is nearly twice the rate of inflation during that decade.

The highest increase was at Sanaa - a restaurant in Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge that's known for its bread service, according to Finance Buzz.

The restaurant's bread service has risen from $9.99 to $22.00, but Casey's Corner in Magic Kingdom came at a close second with a price hike from $4.99 to $10.79 for corn dog nuggets.

However, several TikTokers opted to share their amusem*nt park food and drink price horror stories from locations other than Disney.

'These parks are crazy! We just left Kings Dominion a few days ago. A slice of pizza and a breadstick is $17.00,' a TikToker wrote.

'I went to Sesame Place yesterday, and two hotdogs, two slices of pizza, and three drinks was $85.00! Totally ridiculous but we had to eat,' another person commented.

One person claimed in their comment that 'the hack' to fixing this problem is to purchase a refillable cup.

Others suggested that park guests purchase drinks before entering the park or buy a beverage from a visitor who keeps them in coolers.

Daily Mail has reached out toFelgoise and Six Flags for comment.
