its a good software to hide your personal files

- Slow for the most part, in practically everything it does, encrypting and opening files alike. My biggest reason for actually taking the time to come onto cnet and actually flame this program is for the fact that i simply cannot uninstall this program. I found an encrypt-er that suits my needs but already had the My lockbox installed. Got around uninstalling it with I/Obit uninstaller and it froze my computer... Odd, but i force restarted (hard shutdown) when i rebooted it and tried it through the same route again thinking it was a fluke, i was met with the same results, and have been in practically every other method I have tried in unistalling this program...
- Summary
- Not entirely sure if it has to do with problems in compatibility with win 8 or if my machine is conflicting with another encryption software but i find myself with a new fairly useless permanent program on my computer.... So i suppose if you have windows 8 be a little weary of downloading and installing this program. Hope others have had better luck with it on win 8 and it's just me.

- Simple interface, very convenient. I used it all the time on my old PC setup.

- Can cause crashes with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
- Summary
- The big problem for me is that under Windows 7, using Malwarebytes, it crashes the system at startup, unless you disable Malwarebytes real-time protection from auto-starting (and it's very easy to forget to start it later). The publisher is explicit about this.Also: be aware that there's no encryption, and the hidden files are easily found by starting the PC under Linux.

- works great for locking up folder with many in it, and hides the folder after locked.

- once you lose the password, you can't uninstall it or get a new password. I miss my lockbox. I am locked out until get a new password.

- Very easy to use. Free. Does what it says it will do. Only takes one folder but that can be worked around by making up sub-folders for various files in one main folder.
