Dengue is terrible in Bangladesh :Bangladesh is experiencing an increasingly severe dengue outbreak, with annual rates reaching an all-time high by the end of the year. Due to lack of proper precautions, dengue management plan, inadequacy of treatment supply, low awareness of people, and lack of proper scientific steps from the authorities, they are responsible for this horroing situation. According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the death toll crosses 210 in this year up to October; 1,705 dengue deaths occurred in 2023, marking the highest annual death. In comparison, there were 281 deaths in 2022 and 179 in 2019.The total number of recorded dengue cases hospitalized this year has reached 40,895 patients. The government should take immediate steps to control and minimize the death toll and dengue-affected cases. All the organizations need to raise people's awareness of programs and precautions about dengue fever. Most of the deaths occurred for late admission of treatment in hospitals. We should be careful about this and need to be vigilant always; that's how we could protect ourselves from this terrible dengue.photo: collected

🦟 Amidst the Carnival festivities in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is facing a significant outbreak of dengue fever, particularly impacting our insured German travelers whom we've been assisting through medical support. The timing of this outbreak couldn't be worse, as Brazil's hot rainy season creates ideal conditions for mosquito-borne illnesses like dengue. According to the Health Ministry, there have been 364,855 reported cases in the first five weeks of this year alone, a stark increase from last year's figures. Tragically, this surge has resulted in 40 confirmed deaths, with additional cases under investigation. It's crucial to note that symptoms of dengue may not manifest until after travelers have returned home, potentially complicating diagnosis and treatment.Dengue fever presents a spectrum of severity, ranging from mild flu-like symptoms to life-threatening complications such as hemorrhagic fever. #denguefever #brazil #carnival #medicalassistance #travelassistance https://lnkd.in/d2wHyFcf

According to Bahri emergency room: Cases of suspected dengue fever in the city of Bahri...The city of Bahri is witnessing cases of suspected dengue fever, as symptoms of the disease have appeared on a large number of citizens. This is attributed to the weakness of healthcare and examination mechanisms in the city, making it difficult to accurately diagnose the disease. High fever, body aches, and severe headaches are among the most important symptoms and indications of dengue fever, as these symptoms have appeared on a large number of citizens. As a result, suspected cases have been identified in local centers. In this context, there is suspicion that the cause of the martyr Omar's death is due to dengue fever instead of malaria. As the number of deaths continues to increase daily, it is necessary to take rapid measures to prevent the spread of the disease. Therefore, local authorities must take immediate actions to combat the spread of dengue fever, increase inspection and examination efforts to detect cases of the disease, and provide necessary vaccinations and medications for treating those affected by this disease. We urge the Sudanese health sector, the World Health Organization, and all humanitarian support organizations to intervene urgently to control this health disaster.#Sudan #health #KeepEyesOnSudan World Health Organization Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA) BBC News
