Can you get VAC banned for cheating on GMod? ›

The VAC system reliably detects cheats using their cheat signatures. Any third-party modifications to a game designed to give one player an advantage over another is classified as a cheat or hack and will trigger a VAC ban. This includes modifications to a game's core executable files and dynamic link libraries.

The secret phrase that works currently is "bloxwich." Type "bloxwich" in the chat, and you will achieve the achievement, "Secret Phrase." Also, you MUST be in singleplayer for the achievement to work.

Vac bans are issued for known cheats being detected on the computer while the account was connected to a vac server. You are responsible for the security of the account and what is on the computer(s) the account uses. It does not matter who was using the account to cheat.

VAC banned is more for direct and indirect cheating, im pretty sure remodding your character skin is only local side, its not like it adds a move speed bonus or life bonus or auto aim thing to it. VAC doesn't ban for mods/skins/console.
